MISSION STATEMENT
The Dieterich Community Education Foundation is established to provide monies for tuition to
graduating students from Dieterich High School to help the community prosper.
WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION?
The Dieterich Community Education Foundation in cooperation with the Southeastern Illinois
Community Foundation may receive contributions which are 501(C)3 tax deductible. A volunteer
Board of Directors made up of business, education, and community leaders governs the Foundation.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
The final decision related to the distribution shall be the responsibility of the Board of Directors
consistent with the by- laws of the Foundation. The goal of the Foundation is to provide the maximum
contribution to the students while trying to develop a self-funded endowment account.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Directors change from time to time but are a mixture of Community Leaders, Educators and
Parents looking out for the well-being of our students and community.
WHO DECIDES HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE SPENT?
All donations and the awarding of monies shall be regulated by the Board of Directors established by
the Dieterich Community Education Foundation. The use of the funds must be consistent with the
Foundation’s mission and goals as established by the bylaws of the Foundation.
